How To Make Money On ebay

People are often put off selling on ebay because it sounds as though you’ll be clearing out your garage or attic trying to make money from your old crap. You can do this, and I’ve no doubt you will make some good cash. But it’s hard work and can become pretty boring after a while.

There are far better ways to make money on ebay and there are many small tips I can give you that’ll help any items sell better. I mean there’s someone out there who sold an air guitar for $50!! If someone can sell an air guitar, I think you can do pretty well.

Making money on ebay is a fairly simple process. You fill in your details and create your account, then set your starting bid price and hit auction. However, having a product for auction on ebay doesn’t mean people are going to automatically come to your page.

A Quick Outline

Firstly you’ll need to find the right product to sell on ebay. This is something you should set aside plenty of time for. It’s very important to pick the right product because there’s so much competition on ebay these days. Essentially you’ll need to find a product with as low competition as possible but with high demand. This will be tough to find, because most people are competing for all the same things, but if you put in the work at the early stages it’ll pay dividends later. Use the tools and websites I give out in “top items sold on ebay” to help you find your product.

The next stage is to find a trustworthy supplier. Again this will take time and is a lot easier said than done. You’ll probably have to email people or maybe even talk on the phone, to find the best prices and to cut out the middle man. But time spent on this is worth it. Often, the best people out there are the ones that aren’t very good at getting themselves found. So be patient. I go into far more detail on this in.

So you’ve got a great product that people want, and you’ve got a brilliant supplier. Now you’ve got to make the perfect product page and make sure it gets bought. This will involve
SEO, and other simple things like including a unique product picture. After these steps are completed you should have no problems selling on ebay.

Some Small Tips

I go into much more detail if you download the free report at the bottom of the page. But I’ll just mention a couple of important factors you should know about selling on ebay.

  • Treat your auction page as if it was a normal page….. USE KEYWORDS!!! This is fairly simple. If you’re selling an ipod, optimize your page for the word ipod, and other longtail terms. (see SEO for more details)
  • Have a low starting price for your products.
  • Do plenty of research on a product you want to sell.
  • Check the competition and demand.
  • Pay for the inclusion picture.
  • Keep your feedback score as close to 100% as possible.

These are just a couple of bits to get you thinking about selling on ebay. In my free report I take you through the whole process of finding an “in demand” product, finding a trustworthy supplier and creating an auction page that will get plenty of visits (and bids).
